For not a long time ago I read about a site where you could upload or take a daily picture of yourself for as long as you want. I decided to try that service and as the time goes the more pictures you’ll have gathered of yourself. I the begining it’s not that much intresting, but after a few days it will get more intresting because you can now se how much you’ll change as the time goes. The service is called “Daily Mugshot” and it works really good. The slideshow above id my Mugshot show and it will get longer and longer because everyday I’ll take a new picture of myself.

laser jump

Me and my friend made some motion pictures today. It was difficult to get enough light so that the pictures wouldn’t be too dark. This is me making a “Ninja jump” while I’m using my laser sight ^^

As you may see, my blog has a new look and it will keep changing for a while until I’m satified with look. If I’m right, it will take a while before I’ve made my decision. We all have to take our responsibility for our decisions

Yesterday I had a presentation of the article “The Guarantor of Design” written by Erik Stolterman and Harold Nelson. It is a very interesting article in whitch they raises the ways a designer use to move the design responsible from the designer to an external gurantor.

i. e. Let’s say that I’ve made this site for a customer but the customer is not completely satisfied with the outcome. Instead of taking the fully responsible I’ll probably say that it looks like this because this is what you wanted it to look like.
In this case I’ve moved the responsibility to the customer and according to E. Stolterman and H. Nelson (2000) in this article, I’ve become more a facilitator than a designer.

As a designer you have the full responsible for every decisions you make in a desigprocess, but as the humans we are, we always find a way to move our responsibility to other things, also as a designer. But is this the right thing to do if you are a designer? Do you have the right to blame your decisions you make in a designprocess on other things or other people? What do you think?

In the article “The Guarantor of Design” they raise this subject, I really recommend you read this article. It’s really interesting and I think as a designer, this article will help you to become a better designer because you will be aware of things you maybe didn’t thought of before.
